SEEKER NOSE

Sensing and guidance ride in the nose: an analogue thermal, digital thermal or day digital camera, depending on the configuration.

Target locking is manual and independent of piloting, at up to 1 000 m; after the lock, flight control holds the hit to within a metre.

Four folding arms in an X, each ending in a faired nacelle with a two-blade pusher rotor.

The terminal run comes in from above rather than from behind, keeping the interceptor clear of the turbulent air behind the target’s own propeller.
